Hopeless romantic

I've been trying to dig up some more information on Mr. Pearsall, and while I haven't been able to find the lyrics of the former one online (and I haven't remembered to get them when I'm at work), he lived a pretty interesting life.

And, for everyone's listening pleasure, I present another one of his songs I found online. (I've restricted it to my neighborhood b/c of copyright blah blah blah...)

I think also there has been some scholarship indicating that Pearsall was the true composer of Rossini's "Cat Duet."
